(help please) Guys I’m living a total nightmare, I need your help I cannot Stop stalking my boyfriends most recent ex. I hate that I know that she loved him more than anything and that really really really bothers me. They were together for a year and he broke up with her but like ... I still can’t get over her. Recently she even changed her cover photo on Facebook to my boyfriend’s dogs!!!!!! And she’s with someone else. And I KNOW FOR A FACT she still loves my boyfriend. It’s driving me insane I just want to go punch her in the face!! I want to completely forget about her but I have no idea how!!!!

Hi all - so over a period of nearly eight years, I have experienced intense ROCD (relationship OCD) with my partner. Last week we got engaged, this wasn't a huge surprise as we were talking about it for months in advance. My intrusive thoughts tend to flare up really badly in times of change, even positive change. When we graduated university, when we moved to our flat, and when I started my job are all times I've had flare ups so the fact that I'm having another flare up now shouldn't have come as a shock - but I'm finding it so hard to cope with. The night of our engagement, after about five mins of initial anxiety from the shock, I was on cloud nine and couldn't wait to tell friends and family and begin planning our wedding. However, the next day, the rumination began. "Have I made a terrible mistake, do I really love him, am I just settling, everyone is so happy for us but I'm faking my emotions, if we're supposed to spend the rest of our lives together I should be happy, not anxious, etc." this has totally ruined our first week of what should be the happiest time of our lives. There are zero red flags in our relationship, in fact, the night before we got engaged I remember thinking to myself that I had honestly never been happier. I'm super lucky in that my partner knows about my anxiety, is so thoughtful, and has been constantly reassuring me that all will be well, we've been here before countless times and have always come through. My parents and best friends have also been super supportive as they know what my triggers are, and I've had some lovely messages from them. I'm looking for good coping mechanisms for how to deal with the thoughts and stop putting pressure on myself, as I'm currently stuck in that horrid cycle of endless reassurance and spikes and it's doing me no good at all. Can anyone who has ever been in a similar situation help? X

My friend said I had lesbian energy and I’m not sure why that makes me so anxious

Does anyone with HOCD worry about the times they were homophobic? Like today in my Women’s study class, we were doing the heterosexual questionnaire and then my teacher asked us to fill the blanks in our head. I filled it with homophobic responses because I thought about what my parents or what others might say. But now I’m convinced that I’ve been faking being accepting the whole time and I’m really as bad as my parents.

I have a problem that I'm scared to catch a serious illness like hiv or aids from kissing people or becoming to close to them. It makes me get away from people and I have problems in relationships because I cant trust them if they are clean and I'm too freak... this Sunday I kissed a girl I met on tinder and she made me an scar on my mouth... and now I feel terrible cause if her blood got into my scar I may have caught hiv. I have been 3 days on terrible distress and this sucks... I dont know how to not think about it and I really dont talk to this girl anymore, I checked her mouth 2 or 3 times for injuries or blood (she didn't had any and I dont know if she has hiv or not) but I'm in terrible distress just for the fact that I had an open cut while kissing her and thst kiss could have made me sick with hiv. I really hate this and I hate myself and my decisions of kissing her. And this combines qith my religious compulsions... I'm really hating myself, OCD and illness right now... I'm in big distress and just want to vent a little bit. I just hope I didn't caught hiv from kissing this girl that made me an open cut as I said before but I cant be sure and this makes me crazy.... I just hate it... and hate this thoughts

Why does my ocd keep coming back and latching onto to different subjects now it’s a game character, who I thought was cool and it had a love story in the game that was very controversial , but game characters never do this to me

Hey guys this might be a little bit of a long post BUT. I thought maybe we should all try to do something to benefit everyone on here. We should create a list of OCD resources for each other to learn more about how we can manage our OCD. The Idea is to make this one long continuous thread of resources so people who come on here can find infonration they need to take the first step towards successfull management of OCD. I'll be posting first on a separate reply but the Idea is to divide it into such categories as: Websites Books Youtube Channels Apps Podcasts And Ect.. I can't have one moment of peace without my brain digging up a mistake I've made whether I made it today or 10 years ago. My OCD leaves me completely heartbroken. I have 0 self esteem because it makes me feel like I'm horrible and evil. I know I've done truly awful things but I was a kid. Now all I do is fumble and hurt over every decision. I've become extremely paranoid - I feel the need to delete all social media and photos and traces of myself, for instance. I regret every text message I send. I'm struggling so much you guys. I don't want to post too much but I'm really really struggling.

Okay so having a lil anxiety attack right now because the thought of being gay aint scaring me anymore and now i feel like i truuuly am gay and like i have to come out to my parents and like im pressured by myself and not accepting myself and it feels just too real and idkkk its crazy how i can go from okay to this stage again. I feel like i try not to fall in love with woman and im holding myself back but if i truly was gay wouldnt it just liked the same sex earlier in my life. Like it just happens right? So ive never had that but i feel like im blocking myself from likjng woman but jve never liked them in my whole life so idk what im tryna convince myself. I cant lie, This generation is rlly hard on me when it comes to my hocd. Evergwhere around me people are comjng out and it makes it look like being gay is a huge posibility and that i could easily be gay when u look at how many people are gay. That it wouldnt be a weird case like so many girls are lesbian why wouldnt i be. What would make me straight and them gay? The thing is all these questjoms once were never in my head and all the answers were so clear i didnt even had to ask the questions to myself. But why do i now? Makes me feel like im gay because straight ppl would never ask themselves these questions...

i have been feeling like the ideia of being makes me happy, like my mind says that i want to be gay, but deep down it feels like i don’t. but when i tell myself i don’t, my mind says that i do. it is possible to have hocd and become gay after that ? my mind also says that i always knew that i would be gay, which is a lie because i know i never doubted me being heterosexual

i am confused with how to deal with intrusive thoughts. i think that i have suicidal ocd btw. do i ignore the thoughts, or think that they are not true, etc? i HATE intrusive thoughts soo much. i just never know if they are real or not. i don’t know if I am actually suicidal or if these are fake thoughts. i know that i don’t have the symptoms for people with actual suicidal thoughts, but that’s reassurance which doesn’t really help me!! idk i’m confused, i am always confused. i don’t really know what to trust. so, if anyone knows what to do when you have intrusive thoughts, please let me know!

I, like many others, don’t experience one type of intrusive thought, but am currently having suicidal OCD type thoughts. But these are the ones where I find it the hardest to work out if they’re actually my thoughts or just intrusive thoughts. They come if I’m reading an article about someone who’s committed suicide or if there’s a Tweet about it for e.g. and it’s like ‘that will be you one day’ or ‘I know I’m probably going to end up doing that.’ Sometimes I get worried about it and try to tell myself I won’t but then at other times, I just sort of accept it like, well if it’s going to happen it will. Can anyone relate? Thanks

I made the very difficult decision of getting back on my meds. My original symptoms of OCD resurfaced bad and I can’t deal with it when it doesn’t let me eat or when it attacks my feelings for my husband. I feel like I have failed once again. But I think I may have failed worse if I hadn’t made the decision to get back on them ?

Ugh when you dont have anxious thoughts anymore and when you just feel gay because you dont care anymore and you actually forgot what you fight for because you completely lost urself. Ugh im gonna get real honest with everyone now. I saw naked woman in a show and i got turned on again. Its weird that when inwas younger and thst happened i could just live with it. I always was like aight okay but inwould never wnat to do something with her in real life. And i knew i liked men and men only bc ive never seen a girl in another way. Anyway now with hocd exploded i cant handle that i get turned on by naked woman in porn or tv series. The fact that my attraction towards men is gone makes it 10000x times harder to believe that its normal for woman to be turned on by woman without having romantic jnterest in them and it makes me believe im just gay. Rverything was 10000 times easier when i was attracted to men. Thst cleared everything up bc my love for men was soo strong that being lesbian wasnt even a thought in my head because inwas too busy with guys. Now without it i cant be convinced thst the real me is straight. Even tho im super unhappy like this and i got depressed bc of the loss and cravings for men atraction i still cant believe that i can be straigjt while being turned on by woman on screens. I dont like woman in real life at A l l

Anyone else suspect they have Transgender OCD? Would be nice to know I’m not alone

I don’t know how to deal with my random anxiety attacks. They’re occurring every day now. And they’re unprecedented. I can just be sitting here watching tv then suddenly I get a racing heart, vertigo, numbness, and panicking thoughts. How do I deal with this?

I need advice! So 3 days ago I think I developed another theme of OCD (great :() which is making me question my sexuality. My mind keeps twisting everything up, saying ohh uge never had a boyfriend because u actually gay? or what if u like girls and shit like that. this makes me so uncomfortable. I dont want to be gay, I'm.sure in straight. I've never had a girl crush only boys and I'm not attrached to girls in that way. but I'm scared mind will get everything twisted and I cant keep doubting myself. I dont feel the need to kiss a girl or do anything I am not interested in that. ughh why is my mind like this I hate it i have an awesome bestfriend and now mind it twisting everything up and making me think what If i like her like that? ughh someone plz give me advice yesterday I cried non stop and I felt really shit. imagine I'm working and I just cant stop crying this needs to stop

Anyone have tips on Relationship OCD, and do you share the intrusive thoughts and tell your girlfriend you are dealing with this? Or keep it to yourself.
