I have a question
Can thoughts or this disorder makes you want to have the intrusive thoughts to happen even when you don't and it becomes a confusing mess? Because I'm dealing with that rn and it's hard to manage.

Yes, the more you fight them the more they appear, it's not like you want to have the intrusive thoughts, it's more like the more you think about not wanting to have them or the more you try to stop them the more you won't be able to let them go
Yep. That’s ocd. It’s the doubt disorder. It will feel INCREDIBLY real and make you feel that way. Try ALI GREYMOND on YouTube, she’s changed my life. Also Nathan Petersons channel ‘OCD and Anxiety’
yeah, ive dealt with that a lot. it's hard to tell who's in charge of your thoughts. i think ocd just makes us confused in general. whether you are bringing on the thought yourself or it is coming against your will, its intrusive if it's uncomfortable. You don't need to find all the answers, they might be impossible to find.
Does anyone that is diagnosed have experience having different themes come up in a day? It’s like I ignored one thought and then my mind comes up with another one until it figures out one that is scary enough for me to ruminate. Does it ever make sense? Like today my intrusive thought was an image of me in the space or falling into space which made me also think - this is non sense! Am I going crazy for having such an unrealistic intrusive thought? And then my psychosis OCD comes to play 🫠 it’s EXHAUSTING but I’ve been answering with “maybe or maybe not” and “I don’t care” which is something I saw someone saying that helps and I’ve been using it. I haven’t started ERP yet but hopefully soon. Just this year this came up and I still catch myself feeling so sad and remembering how I was before this. 😭
I have been dealing with intrusive thoughts for a long time, and while most of them don’t affect me anymore, there are ones that really concern me and make me feel panic. They make me feel like I could actually act on the intrusive thought and I’m just holding myself back from it. It’s really scary and I don’t know who I am anymore.
Just a quick question for anyone on here today. Does anyone else's OCD get more prominent when they're mad?? Not necessarily "mad" but just frustrated. For example, I'll be having an argument with my girl and the intrusive thoughts just seem to arise way more frequent and severe i guess is a word i can use for it. They just pester me a lot more when I'm frustrated rather than just sitting around playing a video game or something. Appreciate y'all wit the feedback. Have a good one.
