I also have intrusive thoughts, when we get them we think we need to feel guilty for having them even when we can't control them. My suggestion is to just notice the thoughts and don't try to change them. Try not to feel guilty for anything, it isn't your fault. Suppressing the thoughts will only make it worse

Something that I think helps to remember is that you're an adult and you're using the judgement you have now based on your teenage self who understood less. I'd assume most teenagers don't fully know the extent of what they're doing when it comes to encountering content like that. Try not to focus too much on this. Try your best to steer into self compassion and care whenever you find yourself going back to thoughts like these.

Remind yourself this is just OCD! Everyone has done things in their past they don’t want everyone to know about but we shouldn’t reminisce over them and try to hyper fixate on them to find out what exactly happened and all the what ifs. This is just OCD. Everybody has thoughts, we just have OCD so unfortunately our brain chemicals don’t let us “let them go.” You are normal and fine you just have OCD. You are not a bad person.

i saw a post from jenna overbaugh that said we have to surrender uncertainty first in order to gain certainty in the future
