Health ocd, Im freaking out
Because is controlling my life
Because is controlling my life
Hey sorry to hear this, I struggled with health ocd for years. Rachelsocdgrotto on instagram has a lot of helpful health anxiety content.
I have a health fear as well. I HATE being sick especially throwing up, so when I throw up, everything I did that day needs to be retraced to make sure it wasn’t anything I did. I ALWAYS wash my hands before I eat, I ALWAYS wash my hands when I get home, I never fall asleep in clothes I wore outside. My bed is my “clean space” and it overwhelms me with fear when there’s bugs or something dirty in my house. What helped me most, was trying to figure out a way to look at the positive things of dirt. Your immune system gets better, that’s something.
Thnx, right now for Me is hard as Im experiencing some physical symptoms like pelvis pain, irregular menstruations, Ibs and also sweating. I have been checked, colonoscopy, ultrasound and gyneacologists, all looked normal. My doc wants Me to do a contrast ct scan and Im very affald of THE radiation and its effects, at THE other side I want to know what is going on with this pain. So in a Big dilemma that gives Me a huge anxiety
hey there, i'm really sorry to hear you're going through such a tough time with your health ocd. it sounds incredibly exhausting and overwhelming to have those fears running your life. 😔 i've got my own battle with pure o, so i totally get how much ocd can mess with your head, even if our obsessions aren't the same. i'm here to listen and support you through this rough patch. so, my therapist told me about this free ai ocd therapy tool called "unstuck" (www.AIOCDtool.com), and it's been a game-changer for me. given the way your ocd is dominating your thoughts, this tool could be a real lifeline. it's designed to help you work through the moments when ocd is kicking your butt. you just type out what's on your mind, and the ai guides you through, just like a trained ocd therapist would with erp strategies. i know it's easy to be skeptical about app recommendations, but i promise you, i'm not into promoting stuff either. i'm sharing this because it genuinely helped me find some peace, and i hope it can do the same for you. if you've got any questions or wanna chat about it, i'm all ears. take care.
hey everyone. i’m not sure if this app will help me or not, but i feel the need to try anything because i can’t keep living like this. i struggle with obsessing over everything in my life. it feels like everyday my brain picks a new thing in my life to obsess over. for the past couple days ive been obsessing over my interpersonal relationships. for example; “do i like the people im with” “do i like my friends as more than just friends” “do i actually love these people or am i lying to everyone”. it’s been really messing with me and making me question my support system. i can’t stop stressing. i’m even afraid to talk about it with my therapist because i have those thoughts about her too. i’m new to my OCD diagnosis (got diagnosed last month) i was hospitalized for a week because i couldn’t function. i also obsess over my sexuality and nothing i pick for me ever feels quite right. i recently started a relationship with someone who’s trans, so maybe that’s why? does anyone else go through this? my brain tries to convince me that i do this to myself and that im making it all up. but who would want to feel this way? uggghhh
What do you do when nothing feel right. Like for example I feel like everything triggers me, everything feels weird, sounds, actions, my room. I feel like i will go insane any second and I cant enjoy anything, I cant be happy about my upcoming new job or events. I have OCD about me having shizhophrenia and omg it has ruined my life, it has only been about 3 weeks, but it has got me complitely. I want my old self back and I am scared that my loved one will leave me bc i am not getting better. I really want a new theme as funny it sounds, because even 2 years ago harm OCD was't this hard. I feel like something in me is changing, but i dont want it 😭 I will start therapy in the end of August and I just started taking medication. But for now I cant imagine this stopping and I fear that it will go downhill from this, i cant see me doing better, because if i have a good day I rember how i felt yesterday or when I had a panic attack and I cant get enough of it, i always remember those feelings and I start to worry about it over and over again.
Hi, I’ve never shared on here before so please forgive me if this is too much or is upsetting. I’m currently struggling and don’t know what to do/need to vent. Since I was a kid, I can remember asking my mom things like “if I touch this and then touch my mouth, will I get sick?” Or the same question but with “will I die?” at the end. I’ve been afraid of illness, especially stomach illnesses for pretty much my whole life. I’ve gotten very sick in the past after not properly washing my hands and then eating, and it has scared me ever since. Now I’m 25 and constantly wash my hands and use hand sanitizer. If I’m at home I’ll wash my hands in the bathroom, then wash my hands in the kitchen, and then use hand sanitizer. This cycle is driving me insane, but if I don’t do it I’ll have panic attacks, convinced that I’ll get sick. Today, when I was getting up to get ready for work I opened my trash can and saw maggots. I’m home alone right now and had to do all the clean up myself. I’m very afraid of getting sick from this, and called my boyfriend sobbing because of how gross the situation was, and because I was so afraid. He assured me that this happens when flies get in the house in the summer time, but I still can’t get past it. I’m so stressed out about cleaning the entire house. I’ve already showered once and washed my hair, but can’t bring myself to eat or drink because I’m afraid something bad will happen. I’ve been dealing with health anxiety for almost 20 years, and the fact that I spend almost every second of every day worrying about getting sick or dying is a painful reality. I have a difficult time being social, going to work, and being intimate. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel completely hopeless and trapped in my mind. Has anyone dealt with this before? I really need to get help, but I don’t have health insurance right now and am trying to avoid going to the hospital (even though I think I might need to).
