just had my first session yesterday,, it was kind of funny and surprising to hear how many aspects of my everyday life are actually ocd rituals or ocd symptoms,, i feel like i have such a super long way to go xP ꉂ૮(°□°'˶)ა
Hey that’s great though! I’m proud of you and happy for you that you’re starting that journey! My first few sessions felt really scary but I’m glad I started. I also just started meds recently too so I’m hoping that’ll help me a little bit too. It’s crazy how much of your life can be absorbed in ocd without really noticing. I hope you’re doing well and if you ever wanna talk about ocd or difficult days, I’m all here for it!

@biteurhandandeatit Thank you! I’ve had some really intense and scary spirals lately that have really tested my mental health. Im definitely feeling ocd more than i ever have. So i hope my journey puts me in a better place.

This app makes me kinda feel like I have my own little support / friend group of people who understand me in a way that most other people in my life don’t. I really love meeting people on here and hearing their experiences. I didn’t realize how much I’ve wanted a friend / group of people to talk to about this struggle In my life.
@Boooperbear omg same!! after talking with my therapist i realized that my ocd probably contributed a lot to me struggling with making and maintaining friendships; im so curious to see if meeting other people with similar experiences would change that ｡◕‿◕｡ im very excited to see how we both progress with our journeys

Sounds fun! And I’m doing alright today! I definitely have some anxiety but trying to hang in there.
@Boooperbear ditto ՞߹ - ߹՞ ive been having a lot of trouble with my comfort routines being interrupted by anxiety that im bothering others— its really hard and im not sure how to approach the conversation without sounding prude-ish. either way, make sure you hang in there!! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈) a hard day is nothing on either of us!
