I struggle with rumination and here’s what’s helped me. When I have the intrusive thought I acknowledge it, “oh hey there OCD, maybe this is true, maybe it’s not, but I don’t have time to deal with you today because I have things to do.” And then I proceed to going about my day or shifting to something I value, like going for a walk, meditating, etc. it is the hardest thing you will ever do but the more you don’t give in, the less OCD will rage. You can do this!

YES ALL THE TIME. I feel like I can’t remmeber if I did something to a loved one, if I hit someone with my car, etc bc I don’t have a clear memory of it so I can’t convince myself that those things didn’t happen

Listen to Dr. Reid Wilson, Anxieties.com and on YouTube. Wednesday nights there are Q&A sessions on NOCD with Dr. McGrath… very helpful.
