academic struggles
i’m a 27-year old working in med tech and i like my job, so much so that i’ve been inspired to go back to school (i didn’t go to college after high school) and get at LEAST my associate in engineering. however, between my struggles with OCD, anxiety, depression, and working full-time, i’m having such a hard time with my academics, especially math. i’ve always needed more time than others with math. i feel completely defeated and i’m holding onto my last bit of determination to not throw the towel in. does anyone else feel crushed by things that seem to come so naturally to others? it’s even worse when i ask someone for help and they make somewhat discouraging comments because i can’t understand their line of thinking even after a couple of explanations. i don’t know anyone like me in real life who has these mental health struggles that had a success story. i want to be that person but it is SO hard.
