So tonight Im putting my chickens to bed and my thought was this chicken looks like Colton “ Colton Is my grandson” like noooo lol. How do I tell people around me these crazy things that I think? Even though it’s funny, they would still think I’m weird! I seriously wish I knew more people with OCD I have so much to share! Haha it’s such a lonely life I live!
Trust me, I have such strange random thoughts all the time that only make sense and are funny in my head 😂 I get what you mean and I’m here for it if you want an ocd friend to share with haha.

@This Ocd Life Sucks Omg that’s amazing!!!! They’re so cute!! I love silkie chickens!! I love animals! We have 3 cats and are looking to get a home in the next few years with a few acres so we can have a horse :) And same here I never considered how beneficial it could be to have friends who also have ocd to talk to so I’m always here to talk if you ever want to!!

@This Ocd Life Sucks Hairless ones are great for people with cat allergies! That’s cool you’re a parent too! Sometimes my ocd makes being a parent so scary! With intrusive thoughts and fears, it can definitely be difficult at times. But I love being a parent so much! My son is almost 10 and I’m so excited for the preteen/teen years!
@Boooperbear Yes it can be scary but it keeps me going. I have 4 kids I have a 29 year old a 27 year old and a 19 and 17 year old. The preteen years are fun. Atleast for my girls they were not so much my son. He was a badddd azzzz haha. He grew out of it thank goodness and he’s an amazing husband and father now. I miss mine being 10
@This Ocd Life Sucks Oh that’s amazing!! You’re so strong being a mom of 4 kids with ocd and managing all of that!! And yeah I was pretty rough as a teenager so im a bit nervous but I really try and stay invested in him and his interests so I hope he will be able to stay close to me as he gets older!

You’re welcome :) my ocd themes have been really intense lately and it’s made me wanna isolate in fear but I keep pushing myself to spend as much time with him and my wife as possible to stay present!
@Boooperbear My themes have been horrible lately too! I’m the same way I immediately want to isolate but I try not to. We have to keep pushing and not give up! You are stronger than you think!
@This Ocd Life Sucks Awe I’m sorry to hear that. I’m here if you wanna talk about it! I started having a new theme that really really scares me and tricks me into thinking I’m turning into a horrible person. I even get panic attacks so bad that I have body sensations and feel like I’m completely consumed by the thoughts :/ but I’ve had all sorts of themes and worries over the years, I just didn’t realize how intense they can get. And yes we do have to keep pushing! You’re very strong too and I really appreciate your kind words!
@This Ocd Life Sucks I get contamination and sickness themes around holidays and times where I need to stay healthy. I get false memories and anxiety over locks, house fires, and a lot of magical thinking ocd. My theme right now out of nowhere is pocd and it’s absolutely freaking terrifying. I’ve never struggled with it and it’s been a month and a half of horrible panic attacks and just not feeling myself at all 😞. The crazy part is when I’m having a good day and not absorbed in my ocd, I can clearly tell how absurd and nonsensical the spirals are, but then when they actually happen, they feel real and it’s so hard to keep myself present. I’ve also had harm intrusive thoughts too and even suicidal ideation intrusive thoughts. It’s so distressing because of how much I love making people happy, spending time with family, my son, and animals…yet I’m having horrible intrusive thoughts about all of it. I’m so sorry about your theme though, that sounds like it must be soooo stressful! I’m definitely here for you if you’re ever having a day where you’d like to talk to someone when you’re struggling with that! I can only imagine it’s very exhausting.
