Upset

@MichelleV Hi!!! nice to hear from you too! By confessing and telling my therapist about it, I have to wait until Monday to talk to her, but I can’t take this anymore. I feel so guilty, I feel like I deserve something bad

@Idontknow Over time, the urge to confess will go down. It’s a hard habit to overcome. Try to remember that OCD will latch on to the smallest thought or action, and try to make it black and white, or over inflate it to something bad. Whenever there’s doubt, OCD tries to convince you something is 100% true. You don’t know if you lifted your shirt, you don’t know if he thought you followed him. You don’t have to know. You don’t have to find certainty. OCD is never satisfied, no matter how much you try to find certainty. You deserve good things. Try to relax and do self care this weekend, instead of bringing on guilt or shame.

@MichelleV I don’t know if this is ocd anymore…because why in the morning I felt attracted to my bfs son and I intentionally thought taboo thoughts on him and it felt good….you see I’m a p he has a thick figure and usually I’m attracted to men who have a thick figure ….it’s suspicious

@Idontknow Trust me as a fellow sufferer of this, I know how challenging POCD can be and how real it can feel. Have you tried any medication alongside the therapy?

@titaniumonetwo Yes, I take therapy but I don’t want to do erp I’m not ready for that…. and I’m currently taking fluoxetine but it’s a low dose

@Idontknow May I ask why you don’t feel ready?

@MichelleV Because I feel like if I were to try erp it’s an excuse to expose myself to minors…like maybe it’s not Pocd and I’m actually a p pretending just to take advantage

@Idontknow You can start with things that don't involve actually seeing children or things like that. Loop tapes of just the word might be more than sufficient, ERP with a good therapist will be challenging but your pace.
