Let yourself know that STDS are only transmitted sexually. I used to work for the AIDS Hotline in CA and even the HIV virus needs highly habitable conditions to survive. There is no sexually transmitted infection that survive outside of sexual contact, let alone a laundromat. That's why they are called STDs after all.

That's funny (ironic) because I'm also scared of washing my clothes at a laundromat, but not because of STDs, but because of lead. I'm worried that if someone's clothes were contaminated with lead and then I wash my clothes after them, then my clothes will be contaminated too. And then I'll get brain damage and die or something. However, I actually had to wash my towels and clothes at a laundromat recently, and it was super stressful, but I made it through. I think you can too! Try washing your clothes and wearing them even though it's scary. Think of it as an opportunity to do an exposure. Maybe you could even have someone go with you to help keep you distracted and calm.
