Today is my 16th birthday and ocd is attack me so badly, its real event combined with false memory and its extremely extremely taboo that I cant even say it on this app or it'll get taken down. It hurts how I can't tell anyone and I literally just ended up breaking down.
You’re always welcome to vent here, and when you’re ready to open up there’s always someone in Nocd who will listen. And happy birthday! That’s when my ocd got really bad. And I remember I could’ve really used someone to tell me that everything was going to be okay, just like how it’s going to be okay for you :)

I get it. There’s things on here that I wouldn’t say either. But you have found a good place to get encouragement. Have you tried any medication or consider talking to a therapist? Those might be helpful. If you’re thinking bad thoughts, and it is distressing you so badly then that’s a good thing because it means that you would never do what you think about. Just remember, it’s your OCD brain that is freaking you out. Put on some music and dance around the house. Lol Maybe go to a Zumba class. That will help your brain and distract you as well. Also give your thoughts to God, He can handle them. I know that has worked for me. I used to be good at doing that and it actually did work because every time I would think something I would just say God I give it to you. I give it to you and then just leave it with him. But then I got where I wasn’t doing that and I would just sit and dwell on the past and cry. I have a lot of bad memories about things that I cannot seem to get past. I have done this for years and there’s times I feel so much better and then it all comes back again. It is so hard to have this OCD crap. I hate it and I wished I didn’t have it. I hope some of these suggestions will help you and give you hope. We are all here for each other. We all know how hard this is. Hang in there and don’t give up. Hahaha, that's a good idea about dancing 😂 i actually play guitar so I guess that's also a good way to express myself, I like the technique you use about giving your thoughts to God, I will try that :). Im sorry to hear that theres memories that you cant get past, its the same exact for me :( but thank you for the suggestions and for the birthday wishes!
@Anonymous U are quite welcome. It warms my heart to know I can help someone in some way and encourage them. I’m lots, lots, lots older than u, but we won’t go there. lol That’s cool that u play guitar! 🎸 That would be a great outlet to let those nasty thoughts go and just play that guitar like nobody’s business!
I get a lot of taboo thoughts and images throughout the day, I understand it’s very exhausting. I try to label these thoughts as OCD thoughts

Happy birthday! I'm sorry you're struggling right now. Taboo thoughts are the worst kinds of obsessions ime. I bottled them up for years and am finally ripping the bandaid and getting into detail with my therapist. I recommend doing the same, therapists have heard it all and won't think any less of you.
For me its not exactly intrusive taboo thoughts, its more about vile things I've done in the past at 11-14 and false memories of the details too :( im really sorry you're struggling with this and im happy for you telling your therapist!
@Anonymous Oh, I see. I've also been there. I have a lot of regret for my middle school years. It's gotten really bad at certain points, but I try to remember that the best I can do is accept that I was wrong and use it as motivation to do better. Regret is the first step to becoming a better person
