Pregnancy
My ocd keeps telling me that i will make someone pregnant if i dont do the compulsion and i actually fall for it,what can i do? Accepting them is so scary what if someone gets pregnant by me all of a sudden?

try telling yourself "maybe. maybe not." sometimes it can be hard, but eventually you will be able to sit with that discomfort and let it pass. easier said than done I know. things you can do to try and calm your nervous system during times of high stress and anxiety are square breathing exercises, getting an ice pack and placing in on your neck/face, or maybe try to close your eyes and hum a favorite song! all these exercises stimulate your vagus nerve and tells your nervous systems that you are in a safe environment. I personally also enjoy taking a couple minutes to try and find things in my current environment that match the colors of the rainbow. for example, name three things that are red, three that are orange, three that are yellow, and so on. it gets you grounded and focused back on your senses and surroundings and can break that rumination cycle that you might experience. these are all tips from my therapist that have been super helpful to practice with her, so maybe getting a friend or someone you trust to help guide you through these exercises could also help. Lastly, youre not alone! I know how isolating ocd can be, but there are people who understand and have had these same scary thoughts. its gonna be okay. Sending happy thoughts and stength your way 🧡
This is time for ERP. It's scary, but it's worse to let the compulsions be a rule over us. Can you practice ERP with this?
I dont know,i tried and i actually didnt do compulsions for like 12 hours with erp,it was like "oh theyre just thoughts, theyre not real,if i give them a meaning then they will just ruin my day" and it was like the best time of my life i was so energetic and felt like i could do anything in this world but when i woke up this morning the thoughts started ruling over me again
@Queencard That's the nature of OCD. You have to keep practicing! You will be successful for short segments of a time, and then fall back into OCD habits again. That is totally normal! Just try to extend the time that you are successful. And keep practicing! And don't get discouraged when you go back into OCD. I go back into OCD mode every day, lol. It takes time and practice.
