Did SSRI’s help you?
I just got my SSRI’s and I’m kinda nervous to take them so I was wondering if anyone has had a good or bad experience with them.

I am on day 12 and have noticed improvements already. SSRis and ERP is saving me at the moment.
@Anonymous Did you notice any side effects?
im taking zoloft and ive been on them for about two years now! from my personal experience they have been my freakin LIFESAVER🛐!!! before them i was obsessing every single minute of every single day, i literally couldnt eat or sleep, id be breaking down, crying and gagging even, all the time cause i couldnt stand how horrible the intrusive thoughts made me feel :( but a little after i began to take them MAN THE IMPROVEMENT!!! yeah i still have intrusive thoughts and worries but it has SIGNIFICANTLY toned down from like 10 to 4 (6 on bad days, but stuff like that cant be helped) anyways i know it sometimes doesnt work for everyone but i really hope it works for you♡♡♡!!!

Hi, I have been on SSRIs for over 20 years. They have been a help as I have had a fulfilling life where my OCD has only flared up a few times. You will have to work with your doctor to get the right one and right dose as there can be side effects. In my experience, the medication with cognitive behavioural therapy and exposure and response prevention gives one the best chance of overcoming OCD. For me, the latter two are more important but the medication is the safety net that allows me the time for the treatments to work.
Starting an SSRI Improved my life so much. I don’t like taking pills but i will absolutely be taking my SSRI for the rest of my life because it helps that much
Lexapro. Is helping me I had bad experience one medicine it was for OCD autism felt. Like was about to heart attack lol abilify that was the name also mitra something it's was bad mitra something like that. Made me sleepy 😴 Lexapro is working and visatril is helping me

I’ve been on Zoloft for 15 years. I’ve tried other stuff too. Zoloft has been the most helpful.
hi, I just started taking a low dosage of zoloft(sertraline) for OCD and generalized anxiety and I am on my second day. For anyone who has taken an SSRI or my specific medicine, how long did it take for you to notice a difference?
Hey friends, I hope you all are well. I just wanted to check in and ask people's experiences about being on medication. I have had OCD pretty much my whole life, just got recently diagnosed 4 months ago and my therapist recommended that I get on meds for it so I have a psychiatrist appointment set up. I'm a little apprehensive about getting on them, but I've realized that I do have some sort of chemical imbalance in my brain that plays a part in my OCD and anxiety. I would love to hear anyones experiences or words of encouragement. Thank you, I hope you all are well.
For starters I was on this medicine before i remember the first few weeks were very scary and debilitating. I don’t remember why I stopped taking it , it was about 7 months ago. but I just recently started back because my ocd and anxiety has been off the chain. I keep having bad thoughts about the side affects and I’m terrified like “ what if I have a seizure” can anybody share an experience? Anyone on Zoloft here. Thanks !
