i ALWAYS fear that I will break religious rules (Islam) that I exaggerate it a lot... Like Hasad (envy) is forbidden in Islam...so i always avoid looking at ANYTHING bc Because I'm afraid I'll envy it by mistake!!! even people! plus help!!!!!
Salam Alaikum, Hasad (envy) is one of the most misunderstood concepts in our faith, and it often becomes a doorway for Shaytan to sow hatred and division within our communities. If you look at Surah Al-Falaq, it says (in English translation): بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ (1) مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (2) وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ (3) وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ (4) وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ (5) Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of what He has created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of those who blow on knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies." Notice how the word "evil" is repeated throughout these verses, each time paired with a different source. This repetition is not accidental—when Allah repeats a word, it’s to draw our attention and emphasize its importance. If you read carefully, you’ll see that we are not simply seeking protection from the things themselves, but specifically from the evil that can come from them. This means that envy, by itself, is not necessarily harmful. The real danger comes when envy is followed by evil actions or words. To further clarify this, consider the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "There is no envy except in two cases: a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it righteously, and a man whom Allah has given the Qur’an and he recites it throughout the night and day." (لا حسد إلا في اثنتين: رجل آتاه الله القرآن فهو يقوم به آناء الليل والنهار، ورجل آتاه الله مالاً فهو ينفقه في الحق آناء الليل والنهار) This hadith shows that there is a positive form of envy—one that inspires us to do good, rather than harm others. In summary don’t be afraid if you feel envy. What matters is how you respond to it. Let it motivate you to say good words or to strive to be better, rather than letting it lead to harmful actions. Envy, on its own, has no effect unless it is turned into something negative. I hope this explanation helps clarify the concept of hasad for you.

i keep having such intrusive religious ocd thoughts, i feel like i’m sinning and i don’t want to leave my religion p.s i’m a muslim
first post on here, and i almost feel ashamed that its come to this point.. but i really need help. i have a constant fear that everything is bad luck. my brain has decided that certain numbers or words will cause something bad to happen to my family or me, and i really dont want anything to happen. my brain tells me that all of my compulsions are signs from God, and that if i dont listen, He will be disappointed in me. and i become afraid that every small mistake i made results in bad things happening to me. even posting this is terrifying to me, but im running out of options at this point.. i dont want to feel like this anymore, i want to believe in God without these thoughts.
Hey everyone please help me I am suffering from religious ocd and it is so severe I am also suffering from death fear and this fear making my ocd worse I cannot explain which type of thoughts I am suffering I cannot sleep at night due to fear to go to hell. And this is making my days even more worse I started cry all day cannot do home chores due to fear irrational fears has been generated and my mind force me to say bad words about prestigious figures which I cannot imagine even then I start weeping and asking forgiveness to God and started to say I am not doing then feelings become more worse and all stuff become trigger I don't know i am doing it by self or not? Need help I cannot sleep even in day please save me.
