I have had the same experience and went to Doctor Google as well. I would approach the situation in this way. Did I use tap water, yes. Do I have any immediate health concerns that point towards me having a brain eating amoebia? Is it plausible I live in an area where the water is so unsanitary I shouldn’t even shower etc? Your OCD is trying to attach to a possibility here. Possibility is not probability or real.
@Cale L. The only reason I am freaking out is because the water is safe to drink in my city but I don’t think it is entirely clean. 😭
@carlynfitzy Think of it as an exposure and accept the uncertainty.
I totally understand how you feel. Just be mindful I would say that you have an immune system that is strong enough to combat one rinse this time. I would say if you don't have inflammation or a big build up of mucus in your nasal cavity within the next few days you should be ok. With compassion, Michael
@Mindfulness6060 My head hurts, but I’ve constantly been on my phone and I do have sinus issues. Idk how to calm down. I’m totally convinced I have the brain eating amoeba
My mom made chicken soup today, and she left raw chicken skin on the sink. There were some dishes next to it and I grabbed some tongs and put the chicken in the trash. My mom washed all of those dishes including the tongs I used and now I'm scared of salmonella. I didn't say anything to her about the chicken bc she usually gets frustrated and says I worry too much. I made sure to wash my medicine cup before bc I'm sick and I was scared of getting salmonella on top of my sickness, but i regret of not doing anything for my parents. My mom already washed all of the dishes with just dishes soap. What do I do?
I was trying to put a bag of screwdrivers away and one of them got caught into my finger and left a small puncture. I was bleeding a bit but I applied pressure, the bleeding stopped, and then I put a bandage on. Then I got worries about tetanus and I saw that this is a pretty fatal infection that could possibly happen and it makes me want to visit an urgent care tomorrow for a tetanus shot. It's only a small little puncture wound, but I've took about 5 minutes to wash it with soap and water and then put a bandage on it. Should I still be worried about this?
I went to the pool and laid on a lounge chair that had bird poop on it, and I got bird poop on my leg and brushed it off my leg because it was dry and like crumbs I didn’t think of it at the time until I was on my phone then I realized a few moments later about the bird flu and I have a cat do I now have to shower and wash my hair and clean my phone or is that just me worsening my OCD should I leave it alone or should I do those things because I just wanna keep my cat safe
