I am getting confused When i am taking 5ml syrup of flunil I can easily do erp on my ocd Why my doctor decrease my dose to 2.5ml Its getting hard to manage ocd and anxiety Many reactions are coming out from me If i dont take ssri its effecting my nrml life also and its getting hard to do erp Suggest me someone what should i do Again i am getting scared thus i have to take ssri for lifetime 🙄🙄
OCD is both biological and learned. You may need the SSRI for the biological part. Also the doctor decreased your med ny half. This may be too much too fast and cause withdrawal sx. If your are very sensitive decrease the liquid very very gradually. A small decrease and wait 5-6 weeks before adjusting again. Read the book The Antidepression Solution by Joseph Glenmullen. It explains how to do this.
Just keep doing erp while using ssri and as long as you do that properly and regularly, you will get to a point where your doctor will reduce it like they have done already. The aim is usually to be able to manage yourself without any external factors

@zara khan🥴 Only regular erp. You can plan to trigger yourself in a controlled environment and when you feel the urge to do a compulsion, start your erp. It'll most likely be a little tougher considering the lower dosage of meds so I'd probably wait until the withdrawal symptoms fade out

Has anyone had saris make there OCD worse then before they started them. I've always noticed a mental increase when taking ssri or ssnri. But that's the medicine for OCD and anxiety since most doctors dont like benzo and for good reason but still.
Hi all, I’ve never posted on here before. I got diagnosed with OCD about a year ago. My therapist is incredible and I did start taking some SRI’s which also made my symptoms really go down. However the last week it’s like I’m back to my old symptoms of insane anxiety and not being able to sleep. I want to see if anyone has also experienced this and basically want to know if it gets better again. I’m terrified of having to change my dose for my SRI’s it doesn’t sit right with me. Thanks ❣️
Hello everyone I was recently diagnosed with OCD. I’ve spent the last ten years battle extreme anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I recently started taking Prozac. For once in my life my mind feels calm. However, they just upped my dose and my anxiety is bad and I’m having trouble sleeping this is week 2 on the medication. Anyone else experienced this?
