I get stressed when I can't work or can get about. I would love to read by my body is telling me I need to do something. What works for you with ocd when you're stuck at home? First struggle with ocd in a while
I forgot how hard it is to concentrate when you're kind of in the middle of it
I've communicated this to my therapist. It's a very specific feeling. If I'm not in the middle of an episode, I can only conjure up the feeling in my dreams.

Well for me i'd like to create something. A simple hobby would help you like drawing, painting or sculpting. You don't even have to be great at it. Or what you create doesn't even have to be perfect. Art works for me the most because it is easy to focus on what you are doing when you are creating something. I usually start a random episode of my favourite shows or some comedy shows to help me relax then i start imagining what i want to draw or paint. Then i begin to think which paints i would use or which color combinations would look better. While thinking this, my mind focuses on something i enjoy rather than my intrusive thoughts. Like i said, you don't have to be super talented or you don't have to be an artist. Random doodling would work too.

I play a game on my phone called woody puzzle 🤣 it's one of those games you can play while having the TV on etc so I think that's what keeps my brain occupied. I also watch the same YouTube videos most nights when I bed before falling asleep as its relaxing.
I’m a lier downer when I’m at home all my activity is getting out and about. I can’t stand the same four walls.
I have very little expectations. Normally I wouldn't binge watch, but if I'm sick I'm just trying to get through it in whatever way possible. I'll rest when I can, I'll drink as much water as I can. I might have podcasts collected that weren't time sensitive. I'll eat ice cream. Whatever it takes.
I wish I could do that but I feel so restless even when I'm sick
@Wolfram Perhaps a lot of stretching. That way your still getting rest, but also relieving some tension.

Hi guys! Hope everyone is having a beautiful week. I did therapy with a therapist on here and it helped me hugely, I had next to no OCD symptoms for almost 8 months, but recently it’s been flaring up again. I am much better at handling intrusive thoughts and going on with my day but I just have this huge fear of it getting as bad as it was last year. I was unable to get out of bed for 3 months because the intrusive thoughts were so debilitating. I never went to feel that way again. Does anyone have tips on how they deal with OCD flare ups and how they bring themselves back down to a happy medium? Thank you all 🤍
I was doing so good, but over the past few months, the OCD has returned with a vengenace. I try to explain what I'm experiencing to my family, but they don't understand. I just need to hear that people get it and know that I can make it out the other end alive and in one piece I've had many themes over the years, but right now, scrupulocity is taking over my life. It takes the normal day-to-day things I do, and twists them into compulsions to feed the insatiable monster that tells me if I don't do enough, be perfect enough, that I'm not a good partner-- not a good person. I'm not working hard because it feels satisfying; I'm doing it because I feel lazy and worthless if I don't. Everything has been taken to an extreme. It's making getting in the way of eating and sleeping. I'm suffering, but I feel like I need to try and pretend that I'm fine (even though I'm terrible at hiding it) because I feel like my husband will think I'm crazy, whiny, and dramatic, and eventually, get tired of it and leave. I'm not asking for reassurance. I just want to not feel so alone.
My health concern OCD has been getting A LOT worse in the last days. I'm always panicking about having some serious illness, and I have yet again come to the point where I can't understand if I feel actually unwell or if it's just my mind. I'm under a lot of stress these days, I have some big changes coming up, and I know this is my way of coping, but it's tiring
