Is OCD like the fire triangle? Opinions please?
So I have started to liken OCD to the fire triangle in that it needs certain elements to survive and those elements can be different for every person but the one element that is present for everyone always is anxiety/rumination. So here's my triangle 1) anxiety/rumination/overthinking 2) a constant feeling that there is an immediate problem which must be solved immediatley (which basically is anxiety) 3) a refusal to fully accept that we can't have certainty on most things in life Now what I'm saying is that I have always been quite an anxious, deep thinking person and I think that is just who I am naturally and sometimes all you can do about that is try to stay busy and I also find that exercise helps but if I can remove one of the other 2 elements then I could start making some real progress
