question zoloft users

hey! so i’m in college and i started zoloft last month. i’m on 75 mg. i usually go out once every weekend as most college students do and i do tend to drink a good amount for a night. will i be okay if i do that? sometimes i get a bit dizzy or lightheaded from a little bit of alcohol, but other times im fine. i know the internet says to not drink on it but i know plenty of people who do and i drank on my celexa. what experiences do you guys have? thanks!!

It’s hard as I’m not in the same boat. I’m currently on 100-115mg of Zoloft and have been for a number of years. I have no idea wether it’s actually related to the medication or just my mental health but as soon as I started suffering with OCD (at 26) alcohol made me quite sick. Red in the face, sweating, spewy. Prior to that, I could drink pretty comfortably. I think it’s pretty standard that the medication does make alcohols impact more severe tho.

50mg Zoloft here, it happens to me too. Just gotta cut back—also I've known hangovers to be worse (although it could be my age 🤣)

@Anonymous i’m on a cholesterol statin so i know THOSE HANGOVERS. i think maybe i just shouldn’t take the zoloft that day? i really do enjoy going ojt and having drinks i make great mems. like sometimes i have a glass of wine and i feel dizzy and im like really 😐. others im okay till the end of the night which is normal cause everyone’s tired.

This post is for anyone that takes Prozac

I'm planning to take Prozac medication for my OCD. How is it for all of you? What side effects did you get? What's the worst that could happen when taking it? I was told diarrhea, suicidal thoughts, and upset stomachs were the worst that could happen. I'm a little scared of the side effects but I still want to take them soon.

drugs / alcohol

Im 16 and i’ve always wanted to drink and smoke weed to use it as a way to ease my tension and anxiety like people say it would . I never have because i’m terrified id say something horrible or do something bad and not remember it . I don’t tell people that’s why i don’t wanna engage in drinking or substances because i just know they wouldnt understand and they’d tell me to ‘stop being so paranoid’. So, instead , they call me boring and frigid which is putting pressure on me. i wish i could have fun like them but i actively avoid parties and dont get invited to them because of it. Im just so scared of something bad happening that’s out of my control. Im not too sure what to do because i don’t want to stay a social outcast forever. Any advice would be appreciated ❤️
